Covid-19 is the disease caused by SARS-CoV-2, a novel type of coronavirus that originated in Wuhan, China sometime before late December.
From inception, the CCP (Communist Party of China) has supressed, and squashed all related information regarding the early spread of the virus.
The first known global release of information was in a WeChat group, posted in a group chat by from Dr. Li Wenliang an ophthalmologist on December 30, citing the new symptoms of patients he was dealing with.
According to his backtracing, the patients were infected infected in/near the

One Jan 3 he was forced by the state police to recant his previous statements, to which he complied.
Later on Jan 10 he developed symptoms, and was admitted to the hospital on Jan 13.
On Feb 6, 2020 he died from what would later be termed covid-19 by the WHO. (cite)
During this time the CCP used all it's resources to squash any leaks worldwide, using it's influence in owning significant portions of advestizers, and stocks in major media companies globally to supress and diseminate misinformation regarding the virus and it's origin.
A fanatic reponse was recorded through many organizations that held the public's trust, that China had "set the new standard for viral mitigation." (cite)
They used multiple vectors of misinformation through multiple sources, including repeatedly changing wikipedia articles, diseminating viral misinformation on social media, hiring freelance journalists to write articles for the AP (associated press), or science news publications, and paying large contributions to the WHO and it's board members.
False stories surrounding the bat being eaten in soup, or was a wet market mutation was widely circulated to spread the maximal amount of misinformation as possible. (cite)

The first large record outside of China was aboard the Diamond Princess. A cruise ship that started Jan 20, and was quarentined in the harbor on Feb 3, 2020.
712 of the 3711 were confirmed to have tested positive when the ship docked at the Port of Yokohama in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.
Of the 712 cases, 14 people died, all passengers while 410 of the confirmed cases were asymptomatic, or 57.58%.
Of those that died and released their age, 1 of the 14 was in their 60s, 10 of the 14 were older than 70, with 4 of those 10 being older than 80.
The median age of the crew was 36, while the median age of the passengers was 69.
This incident was the first time any real studies were performed outside of China, and was case studied.
They found that the affected persons had frosted glass-like shadow in the lungs during a CT scan, similar to pneumonia.
Those who had worsening symptoms showed deteriation at 7-10 days, with a slow progressive onset.
The only common detection was found to be deteriating SpO2 levels, and
tachypnea.(more than 20 breaths per minute)
The PCR test used to detect the virus was the same PCR test offered by the WHO, and manufacteured in China, which during these cases had as high as 30% false negative.
The United States repatriated their citizens from the cruise liner on Feb 16, 2020. (cite)
